HOLY F***
Our AD nightmare is over.
I will gladly get clowned on for getting two 1st rd picks. Bring it on.
Middleton is expiring too.
This is better than what I could've imagined. Make Finley or Ricardi the permanent GM right now

Middleton with some 30+ mil. Rest I think are min deals. Mavs save a lot of money

OKC this year, protected 2030 Warriors, and 3 seconds, 26, 27, 29.

If you take on the Poetl and Quickley contracts, you might get one 1st for AD. That's the market right now.
Well, as we've documented often, there was never an offer of any kind from ATL because they couldn't make an offer before unloading Young, and then AD got hurt literally the next day, I think.
But, if you believe there was ever any interest in AD from ATL, and I do, and you believe they want to avoid paying tax, which I do, then it's pretty obvious that all involved understood Risacher was going to be part of that deal, should it eventually happen. That's a pretty safe assumption, I think.
You have recently been coping with the pitiful situation of this Mavs season by attempting to spread doom and gloom, and not only do I think it's overboard, I don't think it's even needed to make your point. The reality of the situation is gloomy enough without us stating things we don't know as facts designed to make the outlook as dark and hopeless as possible. It's pretty dark at the moment without any help.
I even said I expected to be disappointed. Not sure why a little hope bothers you so much. I'm going to try to have fun with my Mavs fandom, which I admit is difficult at the moment, but I'm not sure what good could possibly come from spending free time on a message board for a team I hate trying to make those attempting not to hate them feel stupid.

Dallas is receiving a 2026 Thunder first-round pick and a 2030 protected Warriors first-round pick in this deal from the Wizards along with second rounders in 2026 (Phoenix), 2027 (Chicago) and 2029 (Houston), sources tell ESPN.
Those two 1sts are pretty bad but I still think this is a great trade for the Mavs.

No prized youngsters or good players. Salary relief and 2 picks. But, Mavs move makes sense based on where they are as a team and this is just reality of AD's value.
Washington building around Trae-AD combo.

I really wanted us to draft Bagley. Apologies to the board for me brining him to our team. #Baglady

I mean off loading DLo and Hardy as well and getting some draft compensation is about as good as we could have hoped for.

Picks are total trash. OKC pick will obviously be #30 and GSW pick is top20 protected

Two firsts sounded good, but those are some crap firsts. Risacher would have been a much better return, but it is what it is.

Yes. OTOH, having two '26 picks might present an opportunity to move up a spot or two...if they're close enough to a premium player for that to matter?

Top 20 protection on that GSW pick. OKC pick is going to be late too. Not a great return.

how is it protected with Golden state? Not a great draft haul but most of the trades had poor draft hauls. like the three seconds too.
Will need to digest more.

At least the AD saga is over. I'm relieved, frankly. Could've been better - could've been worse.

Dang, that really sucks. Would've been nice to have a real GSW 1st for the post Curry era. I wonder what it turns into if it doesn't convey.
