Trade & FA 2025-26: Free Agency Starts 5pm CST/6pm EST

I lean towards no.  He is a very poor defender and wants to get paid.  I don't think paying a 26 year old 6th man 30 mil is the right direction to take.

I think Minny is definitely  a team to watch in the PG market.  I think Sexton would work really nice there.   Has a similar Dawg personality to Edwards.  With Conley's age and Dillingham not being ready, they really need to improve their PG play.   They are in an awkward spot franchise wise.  They have a star and have done a nice job around the edges but they have some age sneaking up and are clearly outside the top 3.  That GM is not afraid of making a bold move though.

Sexton interested me in Dallas, but at this time I really don't see the need currently.

Sexton is a midget volume scorer, hard to see him as important piece for a contender. Maybe from the bench.

Yeah, maybe. The T-Wolves have been using Bones Hyland at PG, next to DiVincenzo.  He's taken some of Dillingham's minutes and even started a few games and played alright. I doubt if he's a long-term solution, though.

He's not an ideal fit long term.  But if you are a fan that has any interest in watching Mavericks games right now, he is exactly what we need.  This team is painful to watch.

Not sure how much trade value guys like Gafford, PJ, Klay, and Naji have and how much you'd be giving up for a rental in Coby White. For example, if you're moving Klay to a contending team, I'm not expecting back much. I'd be ok with getting a trial on Coby White in that type of trade.

mainly just posting rumors for engagement

The Mavs aren’t painful to watch and wanting to get a player that is more entertaining vs necessary for making the team a contender seems selfish as a fan to me.

I’m a UNC fan and unless White is magnitudes better now than he was in college, then no thanks.

I don’t think AD is getting traded before the summer, which is the mature thing to do. Let the next GM decide what to do once we have more evidence of how our big 3 compete and we have more of a robust trade market. Stop worrying about if AD gets injured. Injuries could happen to any player at anytime.

I don't know if it is remotely possible, but I would love to see Sabonis on the Warriors.  It would not jolt them into a contender but it would be fun to watch.  Also, make them at least relevant in the last few really good Curry years.

You aren’t getting either from AtL.  Nor the pelicans pick.  Maybe potentially this offseason if it landed at 7 or 8.

The main piece for the warriors would be future picks. That could be very intriguing.  If it was a three team could you wind up with Coby white, salary and two future warriors picks?

I would think the Mavs would be interested in that.

I don’t get why everyone is interested in Coby White, he should be a 6th man who’s gonna want to get paid 25-30 million.

I don't love him, but he can score... and he's a decent playmaker.

Plus Kyrie is not the healthiest of players.

I'm not a fan either. He's good enough to hurt the tank short term, but not good enough to be a starting PG long term.

Risacher + top 4 protected Pels pick + salary filler would be pretty nice. With that pick turning into something like an unprotected 2029 1st if they keep it.

GSW would be moving on from guys they no longer want (Green and Kuminga).  I think you are right in that there almost has to be a 3rd team because GSW is so close to Apron 2.  So, part of the Dallas return is what GSW would have received for Kuminga.  So, the core of a Chicago based deal is AD to GSW, Green/White to Dallas and Kuminga to Chicago.  The trick is who gets what as you fill it out from there.  The guardrails you have to manage are keeping Chicago out of the tax and GSW under the second apron.
