Ok look Lively is hurt again. I maintain the obvious move is to trade him or AD for a young guard. If ownership is insistent on contending now, I think Lively is the obvious move. (Because I don't think trading Gafford is likely to net you an impactful guard)

Mavs can't afford to give away another game (Wizards) with Kidd lineup silliness. They need to have a PG on the floor as much as possible.

I’m super interested in this game just because Flagg is coming off such a bad performance.  I was reminded that even LeBron had a goose egg game as a rookie. I want to see what Flagg is made of. Does he play passively or respond with a bounce back game. Do Kidd and his teammates give him the space to be assertive. Most good to great players would bounce back tonight, with added support from their teammates and coaches. Im an optimistic knee jerk fan, so I’d bet Flagg’s overs.

Edit:  if I’m truthful I’m just a knee jerk fan, not a particularly optimistic one right now, but I’m still taking Flagg’s overs tonight.

@GrantAfseth

The Dallas Mavericks upgraded Anthony Davis (bilateral Achilles tendinopathy) and Brandon Williams (personal) to available against the Indiana Pacers.

Kyrie Irving (knee), Dereck Lively II (knee), Daniel Gafford (ankle), and Danté Exum (knee) remain out.

Good. Given this, they really should start Dlo and play Williams when Dlo is off the floor.

Not ideal for Davis to be holding his Achilles area
Should he even be playing?

Sprained his ankle landing.
If they lose today, end the season. Raptors also 1-4. Really bad team.

Hardy just doesn’t see the floor well enough. He’s been here too long for the game to still be too fast for him.

Was so excited. But this is trash team. Fire gm. Trade everyone not named Flagg. If Kyrie wants to go trade him too. Tank and pray we get 1st pick

Mavs getting driven by the end of the Pacers bench, for the most part. Making shots, intelligent passes and hustle seem to be the difference. Rick is a great coach, Jason is just a coach.

Didn´t help the Pacers so far this season.

Davis for Trae Young. Who says no?

The team isn’t playing very well, but Dwight Powell is.

He would be juuuuust fine as a 3rd center.

Brandon Williams is finally back. Free him...on and off the court!

He’s looking pretty good. Better than Hardy, for sure.
