On Mavs TV, can you watch the games later on like a DVR?

The Mavericks, I’m told, are planning a new starting lineup tonight at Utah with D’Angelo Russell out.

Rookie of the Year favorite Cooper Flagg starts at point guard and P.J. Washington should move into D’Lo’s spot alongside Klay Thompson, Anthony Davis and Dereck Lively II.

I am all for getting a little weird in preseason.   Throw a lot at Cooper and see how he struggles and how he fights through.

On the other hand, what a missed opportunity through 3 gmes for Williams and Exum.

What is the deal with Martin.  He had the whole offseason to get healthy and he is out again.   On the other hand a big opp for Nemhbard. I have liked what I have seen. I am not saying he is NBA caliber yet, but he feels like a guy who will fit in and not upset the waters much.

Did we upgrade our training staff?

I've only just started using it, but the other night I started a game about 30 minutes late and it let me watch from the beginning and let me pause, rewind, and fast forward like a dvr, but not sure how it works if you try watching after the game is over or if it ends before you've "caught up."

You can also use the NBA app to watch the Mavs TV stream (as long as you agree subscribed to Mavs TV) which is what I've done so far (I think NBA app is available on more platforms).

Offense still doesn’t look smooth. Definitely not the Kings style, offense yet.

Great first quarter by Nembhard. Really good.

Flagg is pretty dang fast
Thought the Jazz a wide open fast break dunk but he sprinted full court and got in front of the guy
(They then hit a 3 but whatever)

Only real point guard on the roster
Fingers crossed he has a magical growth spurt

Hardy is just not the same level player as anybody but Dwight Powell on this roster. Dwight outworks him by leaps and bounds

Jaden Hardy as a creator just isn't it. If he would just stick to being an off-ball/spot-up shooter then he will be fine on offense. He doesn't need to be trying to do everything off the dribble...stick to what you're good at (shooting) and you'll have a long career in the league

Offense looks much better with a point guard.

Defense was better but jazz dont have an elite creator. Still not really connected yet on theee point rotations. Davis was definately a factor.

Seems like three point shooting will tell us a lot. If they are missing the games will be a slog. 4-20 in first half. Make a few more and this is a 20 point game.

Also helped that Davis went to center for an extended stretch

Any news on Lively? Played only 7 minutes and not starting second half.

What an ugly game. 5-30 from three. Actually 5-29 now, but I am playing the odds.

Dennis Smith Jr. was dragging his leg, and looking non-point-guardy and spare.

Well gosh. The game just looked like a scrimmage to me. Nothing to get excited about. I hope Kidd and his supporting cast are learning something from...this.

I am happy with Flagg. PJ Washington has looked fairly sharp for preseason. AD looks like he's mostly just collecting a paycheck...and playing out of position half the time. Nembhard is a little encouraging...needs time on the court. Powell...is playing hard

A couple of no names have made some encouraging plays...but this was a...scrimmage. If they keep playing they may make a name for themselves.

Shot creation is a little wonky. Three point shooting is...wonky. If at first you don't succeed...keep on shooting. It'll go in. Eventually. Won't it?

No...I'm not pessimistic. I assume Kid and Co. are experimenting, studying, making plans, etc.

I also wonder about the training staff. I hope we have an actual...training staff.

I guess my biggest problem is that I want the games to mean something. Preseason? Yeah, but there has to be a reason to play...not just mail it in.

I use is on NBATV,, I don't know if you have to subscribe to both or not. Being able to drop in mid game and watch from either the start or the present point is great. Nice replay options if you miss the game (or have to watch a romcom with your wife). Options for either the full game or just highlights. I think the full game has time outs, halftime and commercial breaks removed, but I don't remember for sure. Makes for a quicker watch anyway.
