SL Game 2: DAL vs SA @ 3:00cst on ESPN

That was pretty cool. I loooove that he's going to help the Mavs immediately in their transition game, both with and without the ball.

The Mavs are using him as a primary playmaker.  That's not his game.   Right now, as an 18yr old, he's a bigger Andre Iguodala or more skilled Aaron Gordon.

Playing wing and having more offensive responsibility might be good for his long term development but I think he is going to struggle this year if that's the role he is asked the play.   As a 4, I think he can be an impact player right away.

I don't know, man. I totally agree it's ridiculous to imagine them running their offense through him completely on day 1. If he were ready for that, this offense against summer leaguers wouldn't look so painfully difficult.

But, I think he's shown much more potential to be a secondary playmaker than almost anyone on the Mavs not named Kyrie or Russell. I think he can play wing for a while, to see if it's right for him. I don't think that's going to "stunt" him long term, or anything. Hell, they tried to make Dirk a 3 for quite a while, and he didn't look anywhere near as high basketball IQ as Flagg does.

I just realized how much like a high school game this is. Halfway through the 3rd and both teams haven't cracked 80 COMBINED!

With Bryant looking NBA ready at least on defense, and Harper looking like the real deal, the Spurs are going to be a problem for the league for a long time to come. I am really loving Harper’s game. He has craftiness along to go with size and change of speed. Looking forward to many battles with that team. Early 2000s all over again.

Ok Hall might be Javale McGee. Airballs the floater and then goes to do a dumb reactionary foul

Great finish to the quarter for Flagg. I think he looked tired out there for most of that quarter though. Conditioning is going to be important for him, obviously

Nembhard has been less impressive today, but it's summer league.

NICE catch and shoot there from Flagg!

Great poise on that 3. When those start falling more consistently it's going to open up even more of those lanes to the rim.

Yeah, he's going to need a lethal catch and shoot game to play big minutes early, regardless of what position he plays or expects to play in the future.
