Dylan Harper makes his Summer League debut for the Spurs today.

Oh heck yeah.

Super excited to see Nemby some more.

Flagg in his post game interview from game 1 kept reiterating how he did not like his performance. I hope that is setting the stage for a bigger game today from him. I will say, despite the shooting I loved his game 1. Can't wait to watch more Coop.

You know it's really too bad we can't get Wembanyama in this game.

San Antonio Spurs guard Dylan Harper will play against the Dallas Mavericks, but faces a team-determined minutes restriction, a source tells @DALHoopsJournal.

Seems like his summer league is quickly going to waste.

Only so many games and everyone counts. Ajinca might have to wait yet another year before he realistically gets a shot in the league

He had no shot at the NBA (15-man) anyhow, and I would imagine he would already have been given that last 2-way if the Mavs felt he was showing strong NBA potential.

He does play on one of the better teams in the top French league, but he's been no better than 8th-9th man with fairly mediocre stats. Nothing stands out in a good way.

Here is his team's stat page - it has tabs for each of the 2 leagues.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/int.../2025.html

If you root around the data, you can see all the teams and players listed with their stats, and there are fringe and ex- NBA players in that league, who are apparently far better than he is. I suspect there are players in that league who might be useful. But he's not showing anything special there at all.

David Jones-Garcia has had a very impressive summer league for the Spurs based on the box scores.

Do any of you guys have a scouting report on him or seen him play?

Haven't even heard of that guy but he did have a good summer league so far by the counting stats. But one guy I have scouted has been the Spurs latest draft pick Carter Bryant. He is an absolutely a defensive marvel. His last game against the 76ers was a masterclass in hustle and defense. Some clips below:

I imagine Flagg is in for another tough game. Curious to see how he responds.

He might have had no shot at the main roster (15-man) but he certainly had a shot at the 2-way slot if he had a big enough summer league, which would mean he have "made" the league.

And I was hoping Ajinca had a little something to root for because doing so would've naturally made OMax expendable (even more so than he already is).

We're working around the very fringes of the roster anyhow when talking about the likes of Ajinca/OMax/last 2-way slot.

2 24 second violations in the first 3 minutes. Insane defensive effort by the Mavs so far.
