They need to add another guard. No way you can go into a season with Dlo and Williams as your only guards. Although, I said the same thing last trade deadline.
I expect they find a way to bring in a miminum guy at some point.

Nuggets and Rockets are going all in + OKC as the defending champs to deal with. If things go south early in the season for the Mavs with injuries then I'm all for a tank in 2026! Let's get "lucky" in the lottery one more time

I am unswayed. I think the Boston model from last season (playing style wise, if not salary structure wise) is still much closer to what I'd prefer as a direction.

I'd be looking for Gafford trades, obvs, having said that 100 times. But barring that, I'm not sure what's out there.
Side note: why is every one of your posts full of snark and antagonizing energy? I feel like I bend over backwards to be nice and respectful to you (because I like and respect you). Should I just give up?
I wasn't asking for specifics, just an over/under. Capitalizing words in a response for emphasis and being definitive is kind of aggressive, so I just clarified. You can read into my posts however you like, I can't change your perspective. There is only one person here I don't really care for and you aren't it. If you should give up is a question you need to ask yourself.

Free agent center Clint Capela has agreed to a three-year, $21.5 million deal with the Houston Rockets, sources tell ESPN. Major frontcourt addition – and return to Houston for Capela.
Makes me wonder if they're going to move KD's buddy Adams. 4 Cs on the roster: Senguin, Adams, Capella, and Landale.

They just extended Adams though which would be odd, but maybe they had something lined up.

[Amick] By the way, the Bruce Brown reunion is, per sources, on a vet minimum deal. The Nuggets' new front office of Ben Tenzer and Jon Wallace is putting in work today...

Right now looking out at the NBA landscape, there are a lot of teams with a lot of size. Mavs need to match that size. And they are one of the few teams uniquely made to dominate with size.
I think only Houston, Spurs, and Denver can match their size right now.

It seems like we have been saying this every year for a while, and they continue to go into every season with limited playmaking depth.

I heard earlier today about 2/$29M for Caris LeVert with the Pistons. I also heard the framework for Nickeil Alexander-Walker with the Hawks is expected to be like 4/$60M.

I'd argue that changing Gafford out for a guard who can handle the ball and defend POA would make their roster balance quite similar to that Boston team's.

It's not just Boston. Look at the two teams that went to the finals this year. Seems like size plays well in regular season, but space is more important in the playoffs.

Really like these move too. Watching MPJ in the playoffs was painful. I know he was injured, but that's often the case. Johnson has his own issues there as well, but he gives you more playing hurt than MPJ would.

The Lakers were widely viewed as the front runners for Brook Lopez.
With Deandre Ayton becoming a free agent, it's the Clippers who get Lopez.
