Wow will need to think about this one. I think the Nets have had a really bad run since trading KD and Kyrie. A few years later, I don’t know if I can say there is one player who will definitely be there when they are good again. Not a great way to manage a rebuild.

That Denver pick will have some value.  Maybe they can get MPJ healthy and flip in a year or two.  I like the move for both teams actually.  Maximize the talent around Joker and the Nets digging in for The Process.

Not sure Denver got much better with this move. They did save a lot of money and perhaps this will help them do something else. I am not that familiar with their numbers. I don't think they have much draft capital left to trade

I think BKN made a decent deal. Porter may pump up his numbers and they might flip him in a year or so

[Smith] Financial impact of the BKN-DEN trade: Nets with $16.6M cap space remaining (flexible pending Day'Ron Sharpe/Ziaire Williams re-signings) | Nuggets are now about $13.6M under the first apron. Puts Nuggets in range to use most of Non-Taxpayer MLE.

[Charania] Free agent Bruce Brown Jr. has agreed to a one-year deal with the Denver Nuggets, sources tell ESPN. The 2023 NBA champion for the Nuggets returns to Denver. CAA's Ty Sullivan and Steven Heumann finalized the deal tonight with the Nuggets.

Denver adds Cam Johnson and saves $17m in the process...

This means they have their full MLE now which allows them to target another really good player in FA. Nice to see the Nuggets making moves!

None of the deals really matter to me much, but the Denver one of Johnson and Bruce Brown. Brown may not be the same player but he was productive playing with Jokic. Johnson doesn't have the upside of Porter but just more solid. Plus, he doesn't have as big of a contract as Porter who also has injury concerns. Major win for Denver imo.
