JFC that Grimes/Martin trade looks worse and worse. Yes, there's the missing #35, but Martin is also the 11th man, making $10 mil a year. The Mavs would have so much more flexibility with the Apron. Plus, I'd much rather have a young, friendly face for Cooper to acclimate as a rookie with like Proctor, who'd be making $1.5 million.

The Martin trade has always felt like a smokescreen so that people would talk about something else rather than how bad the Luka trade was.

Maaaaaaaan, I'm not saying he needs a Josh Hamilton "Accountability Buddy".  But don't downplay that he's a 19yo kid, who's going to be surrounded by adults. Is it necessary, no. But would that help your generational talent in his rookie year?
