I just hope they will not be here next season...

Good! I'd really like to see Kidd go. Offensively we need a HC who can easily balance a heavy and complex frontcourt. Amazingly, Kidd can't scheme to save his life.

my spidey sense says there is something there. I do expect Kidd to be back but this has lingered out there for a bit. I think there are some legs to this.
Not sure if it is intrigue by Kidd, or if he is pissed with being the front man for the trade for months, or if there are things going on inside where Nico's future may be in doubt in time. I just feel like it is not a done and shut case that he is back.
Or he is looking for another extension.

Kidd is a really difficult personality who burns bridges. If he goes to NYK, he'll be gone within 3 years. He just can't sustain relationships.

Despite Nico Harrison words Dallas will not contend for at least next 4/5 years... Knicks are a contender right now.

Well, that depends on who they get to coach them. As of this past season, they were. It also depends on what moves they make with that thin bench after the starters. They should be a top 5 team in the East next year, but things change.

Thin bench??
I kinda think they’ve got a really deep bench.

The Knicks? Thibs just started playing them when he didn't have a choice, because of foul trouble. Aside from Hart, I don't call Shamet, Wright, and McBride a deep bench. They didn't even play Precious Achiuwa.

4/5 years in the NBA is a lifetime with all the constant movement, only 5 players on the court at time, and draft "homeruns". I'd be amiss to say any franchise is that far away; especially one with a generational talent coming in (with Kyrie and AD), not to mention one that was in the Finals a season ago.

IMO that says more about Thibs (who is notorious for running into the ground a 6-man rotation by the time the playoffs begin) than the actual depth of their roster.

Oddly enough, Shamet and Wright gave him some good minutes when they got their opportunities.

We are all leery of AD and his injury history. We see it too. If his games are limited, it certainly lessens his value.
But the man's name is Anthony Davis or AD. No one thinks he is malingering, and I suggest let's not be rude and dismissive to a Mav who wants to be here and do well. Its not his fault that Nico is a dolt who only got pennies on the dollar for Luka.
Would I trade him for the right deal? Sure. He's not a good fit. But that's not his fault either -- we have NTI to blame for the abysmal negotiations and roster building.

Ah!
Sorry, thought you were referring to Mavs.

This Kidd thing to the Knicks is bizarre. Why haven't the Mavs let it known that they will not let Kidd talk to the Knicks? Dose the fact that Cooper Flagg is a CAA client have anything to do with this? Who is J Kidd's agent?

It has to be relevant to the Kidd question that, according to every report, NY has not asked for permission to talk to Kidd. And DAL has expressed, per Stein, that they won't give NY permission to do so, if asked.
The speculation still swirls anyhow, but not sure what else the Mavs could, or should, do to put it to bed. If the Mavs aren't open to the idea, its 1000% dead no matter who else likes it.

It'll suck if Kidd goes to the Knicks because I already had him penciled in as the backup point guard next season

You never shut down a deal without knowing what they're willing to pay. It also says a lot about the FO thinks of Kidd.
