AROUND the NBA:
Ringer updated player rankings

AD- 13
Kyrie-44

I think both fair due to availability for AD and injury to Kyrie. Although Tatum is at 10 despite a much more severe injury. Tatum is obviously better but only fell 5 spots where Kyrie fell over 20.

Luka at 4, Haliburtan at 7...quite the jump, and Jalen at 9.

No other mavs listed, which I think is fair. Lively is a certain top 100 player but with his injuries and missed games, I think leaving him off is the right call. There are at least 15 players that I wouldn't even think about trading Lively for. And that is after a pretty forgetable season from him. PJ is right on the edge of the top 100. I certainly think if he is in the right role...with not a heavy emphasis on scoring and creating that he should be a top 100 too. His injuries and his last game stinker didn't help either.

Who knows if he wants to coach again and jumping into the NBA with no experience is risky.   Just a name to keep in mind.

He will be the 3rd oldest active NBA coach if he is hired, after Rick and Doc Rivers (the later is only 2 months older)

This feels like way too late for everyone tbh

I hope for a good finals. I have been really surprised with the Pacers. Every series I watch, the Pacers have been the better team on the court. I hope they continue their strong play.

Beating OKC 4 times is going to be a huge task though. I am just not sure it is going to be done.

Rick will have a few tricks up his sleeve though. I wonder if they try to guard OKC the same way they guarded Brunson? Ball security will be huge for Indy. You can't beat OKC if you turn the ball over.

Good point.  I did not know he was that old.

It will be interesting to see the direction they go both in the coaching staff and their roster.   I think they need to move Hart to the bench and look for a starting caliber guard if they don't decide to make big roster moves.

You're right; it's a ranking of how the players have performed, which certainly puts DLive out of the top 100, missing over 46% of his games and putting up pedestrian numbers.

IMO, DLive could play to his potential this season, or become a preverbal backup (when healthy).

I look at it like Hardy this past year.  We paid him and he underperformed, even at his smallish salary.

Eat it, Zombie SuperSonics! What a devastating loss.

A tremendous 3rd quarter team vs an amazing 4th quarter team. Pacers in 6!

Haliburton strikes again. Pacers trailed the whole game until the end.

What a game - I remembered why I‘m in love with NBA basketball for almost 30 years after Nico almost made me forget… That‘s a resilient bunch, these Pacers - clear Carlisle-fingerprint. Now we have all the ingredients for a great Finals series!

Carisle, Halliburton, and Siakom are quite a combination.

This series is going to be closer and better than people think. The similarities between both teams are striking.

I got to admit I wasn't following the game very closely last night. Checked in a little in the first half. Saw Indy had 18 first half turnovers. Wow. Turned it off and checked a few times in the third and saw it was between 12-15 when I looked. Then I saw a message that it was within in the fourth and decided to turn in. I am still not sure how Indy got it to one with the last possession. they just chip, chip, chip and then boom. Amazing.

I can't imagine what it would feel like to be an Indy fan right now. I guess probably similar to fans of the 2011 Mavs. I am sure it is an awesome run and just hoping lady luck does not run out for another week or two.

Good comparison.  We had only Dirk as an allstar, littered with complimentary players around him.  IND has Siakom, Halliburton, and a bunch of good complimentary players.

Yes, I hope Carisle finally brings a chip to IND.  As a fan, I'm hoping for a great 7 game series.  Last night did not disappoint.

Time to ban athletic scholarships entirely.

This was a long time coming. Look at how many millions these colleges and universities made on these athletes in the past, and they didn't get a dime.

The mortgage business is highly cyclical, dependent on both the economy and interest rates.

Since interest rates are high, and the the economic outlook incredibly uncertain, business is in the tank.

I’m sure the owner doesn’t want to sell any stock (buy low, sell high, remember?), so if indeed he’s running out of cash, there are only painful ways to get there.
