I'm still a Mavs fan, but I just want them to rip the band aid off and put this season out of its misery.

Well they certainly nuked any excitement for the game. I dont think there was much to begin with but they eliminated it all just to be safe with their comments.

In general I prefer to win over losing, but I don't see the Mavs winning this game to be a positive outcome. Enough, to this season, is enough. The Mavs are done. Without a PG, the Mavs are going nowhere in the playoffs. If the Mavs remained in the playoffs for long, AD will be in street-clothes after a few games. They can only hurt their draft position, if that matters at all, which it probably doesn't. If the league is pledged to rig the draft as a payback, they can do that from any draft position. A starting level PG needs to parachute down from heaven next year or it's back-to-the-90s. Of course, that's my own negative opinion.

It's hard to lose against those Sacramento but the Nico Harrison team can do it.

No matter how much I try, I can't muster up even an ounce of care about this game. I might watch - haven't decided yet. But, my Mavs side is still numb.

A quick exit would make that stupid “press event” look even dumber.  Just days between that and exit interviews.  Why he didn’t just wait is beyond me.

Is there any recent evidence to point to Nico not being a fucking idiot?  In that respect, the timing makes perfect sense.

Too many AD touches 25 feet from the basket. Good start otherwise

My 2 only explanations are that

1) the press conference was NOT his idea at all. Dumont forced him to do it. Because of that he made it a closed media session because he never really wanted to do it.

2) he is truly the biggest dolt I've ever witnessed and that's all there is to it.

AD started solid. Since he's been ass.

Unfair for this dude. The shoes he has to fill is unrealistic.

Kings can score and AD has always had trouble with Sabonis. He's not off to a particularly good start either.

Naji needs to play 48 mins tonight. AD has to actually play well (not that he has ever shown he can be that guy).

Lively is seriously the difference. His defensive ability just suffocates the court. He's every where. Great screens too to get Klay open.

AD also made a good play there. Good to see that.
