Well, they won to leapfrog Dallas at the 10 spot for the moment. Their next three games—Cleveland, Milwaukee, and Boston—could be brutal, though. While Dallas gets Detroit at home on Friday, then a road trip to Brooklyn, the Knicks (on a back-to-back), and Orlando.

Going to be taking a close look at the Illinois PG Jakucionis.

I am mad Rutgers never made it, but their season was a mess. Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey would've been entertaining to watch in the tournament.

Yes, he is a player to watch.    He has had an up and down season, like most freshman.   I think if the Mavs get in the top 10, there is a chance he slides to 9-10.  Probably unlikely though.   He is listed at 6'5.  He doesn't have much explosion though.  I like how he plays though.

I really want to watch Dermin from BYU play.  He has really slowed down.   He is a young 18 though and is 6'8 or 6'9.   I think the most interest in first round game for me is Oklahoma vs. UConn.   Fears is one of the youngest players in the draft.   He has had been given comparisons to Monte Ellis..both good and bad.  UCONN has Liam Mcneeley who also has had an up and down season.  Struggled a little with his shot.   I don't know if he would interest the Mavs, but will go in that area...if they keep the pick.

Has anyone seen Bennett Stirtz from Drake.  I haven't seen him on any draft lists and he still has eligibility.   I saw Draft express did a post on him.  This may be lazy, but has some Austin Reeves to his game.

Givony on Fears and Queen. Two players in the dallas range. Although I don't think they would have an interest in Queen.

If two teams with a worse record than the Mavs win the play-in-games in the East they fall behind the Mavs in the draft order. So we have to hope for the worse teams to get through in the east while Atlanta keeps a better record than we do, so we could improve our draft position for one or two slots.

Oh that’s great info!!

So Chicago and Miami hopefully make it into the play in, while Atlanta keeps a slightly better record than the Mavs. Which means the Mavs could jump all the way up to 8th!

We need to play Dinwiddie for 48 minutes against Brooklyn.

Not sure, because he played for the Nets for a long time - could be revenge game in the Dinwiddie lottery and he scores 74 points and wins the game on his own.

That is a pretty good comparison.  I like the Senguin comparison.   They seem to have that creativity in the post.   Senguin had the same concerns about his lack of defense.  He has gotten better there.  Not great, but better.    I believe Senguin also grew a little.  This probably helped as well.    Instead of 6'9 he is 6'11.   I think Queen is closer to 6'9.

I think Jokic is a interesting comparison too.   Obviously not Jokic.  Although he has that ability to have nice touch in traffic in the paint like Jokic does.    It is weird that Queen has such a good touch close and has good hands, but was awful shooting the three.  He will need to improve that.

Did you see his high school team had Cooper Flagg, Liam Mcneeley, Asa Newell (first round pick), Queen and Robert Wright (will not be in the draft but one of the better freshman in the Big 12).   This is a few years after they may have had the best HS team ever with Cade and Scottie Barnes.   I think I liked it better where there wasn't all these super teams in HS.

I don't really keep up with pre-NBA hoops.  And I know it's just a highlight reel, but Queen's postup package seems well beyond his years.

Obvious alert...Cooper Flagg is really, really good. I watched the game yesterday. The first time I had really watched him closely. I love him. The athleticism, defense, IQ, passing, etc. He is by far the best player on that team, but they are a deep team and he doesn't dominate the ball. It is really refreshing watching him play. To think he just turned 18 makes it even more impressive. He is going to make some team really happy. He is probably not Wemby level prospect, but you can make a case for him over every other #1 pick over the last 10 years. After the game, I watched his season highlights. His passing is something that really sticks out. He already knows how to play with a rim running big.

And that‘s why every win out of false pride like yesterday hurts our chances for a better future and a quick turnaround.

His fluidity with size really intrigues me. and the fact that he takes pride on the defensive end of the court makes me giddy. I saw a comparison video that compared him to Andrew Kerilinko. That level of defense, matched with his size, is INSANE.

So far offensively he really relies on his athleticism but that can be built. Sheesh I’d want  Cooper so bad on the Mavs

If that happens, imaginations will run wild with Adam Silver/Nico/Luka trade conspiracy theories.

I have not watched one Rutgers game this year. I really watched VJ from Baylor yesterday. I really liked how he engaged with his teammates. This is not final, but I will not be surprised if I prefer VJ at three over Ace Bailey. VJ has Ant Edwards athleticism.

If we didn't have the Grimes trade to confirm that Nico is just an abject idiot, that would be Occam's Razor going *into* the lottery.
