AROUND the NBA:
You'd assume the league office would review medical records for the claim, so the Spurs would probably use something more nebulous than easily identifiable blood clots as a reason to pull the plug on someone's season.

Ya, that's infringing on all kinds of rights, starting with HIPAA.  At the end of the day these are human beings with privacy rights and right over their own bodies.  If SAS and Wemby want him to sit, he'll sit.

That's what they did to get Timmie.

Payton Pritchard is a cold blooded sniper. He should get 6MOY consideration.

I don’t believe this is true. I believe they waive all HIPAA rights wrt their employer.
Pessimism doesn’t make you smart, just pessimistic.

It's not about them wanting him to sit or not, it's the reasoning behind it.  They aren't going to make up and announce something as serious as blood clots when they could as easily do the same by claiming it's a deep tissue issue.  HIPAA also doesn't apply to professional athletes the same way it does to you and I which is why we have injury reports and the like. The blood clot information made it to the public, right?

Tonight was Erik Spoelstra's 886th win with the Heat
including playoffs. That's the 3rd most by a coach with
one team, behind Pop and Jerry Sloan.

Sixers lost 6 in a row since beating us and are down to the nets tonight. Still really bothers me we gave them back their high second round pick for an injured player on a 4 year deal.

Mavs would be huge too. Kyrie+Klay+Lauri+AD+Lively SHEESH

I would totally pass on Lauri. Good offensive player for sure. Average at best on defense. I want 2 way players at this point.
Find me at Lakersball.com. I'm done with the Nico and the Mavs.

HIPAA doesn't apply to franchise employees, but does apply to independent doctors.  Two professional athletes (Kawhi Leonard and Ezekiel Elliott) both exercised their HIPAA rights with independent doctors.

This is what started the HIPAA discussion.  No, the league does not have an approval of injury shut down process lol.  Again, these are human beings with rights, not slaves.  You can't make them play if they are injured.

As your third best player and rotating with PJ, Lauri would be incredible.  You'd just want to make sure you don't give up PJ in the deal.

Trade for him... Davis-Embiid are great in street clothes.

Markaneen has no sense here unless PJ can play at the point.
We need a very good playmaker not another SF/PF.

Bigs rotation is ok (on the paper because street clothes and Lively can't play 2 game in a row).

PJ is going to get a lot burn at SF whenever everyone is healthy.  It'd be the same for Lauri.  But as you pointed out, I don't think we need to worry about the minutes at SF, PF, and C being Street Clothes is our star and DLive gets injured watching someone else getting injured.

Sixers completely falling apart
It'd be nice if we still had that 2nd round pick
