Trade & FA 2024-25:

You mean you wouldn't do Kuzma/KD straight up if you were running PHX?

This!

Like the Lakers' odds of a championship improving after the Luka trade.  Maybe it works out for them long-term, but they don't match up with anyone right now.  And Luka and Maxi are hurt!
Only thing about KD to Washington that makes any sense is that's his hometown but still don't make sense.

Gotta do something else
As constructed right now, I don't think this team can win more than 2 games in the first round

We need another creator with the ball. ASAP. Honestly trading Klay is best bet. He doesn’t fit here.
@GrantAfseth

Multiple league sources have told me there is increasing belief that Kevin Durant lands with the Golden State Warriors. Plenty has to happen, but the Warriors' pursuit of this trade has been aggressive. Just figured I'd mention this as something to watch as the deadline looms.
I only mention this because the Dallas Mavericks are 9th in the West, and if the Golden State Warriors make a significant move, the competition would be more difficult if the move transpires.

This would kill the Suns though. Which is good. And it means there is a chance Booker becomes available.

Mobley is 40% from the three.  He’s become a knock down three point shooter. I’d rather have him for Luka than AD.

Dennis Schröder on the NBA trade deadline: “It’s modern slavery at the end of the day. Everybody can decide where you’re going, even if you have a contract … at the end of the day if they say, ‘You’re not coming to work tomorrow, you’re going over there,’ they can decide that.“

LOL

I needed that laugh. Thank you.

Also a great advertisement to never trade for him.

That article came out 1 hour before the tweet he's on the trade market. LMAO what a dumbass.
[Gambo] I said yesterday the Warriors have been aggressive in looking to see if the Suns would move KD. The Suns have gotten calls from quite a few teams on KD. I think a lot depends on if they can land Butler or not.

Beal isn’t leaving.

Can the Mavs swoop in as a 3rd team and offer whatever Miami wants and in exchange we get Booker?

We’ll give all the firsts!!!

Booker+AD comes moderately close to Luka. Not quite, but close.

PHX isn't trading Booker, dude. You have to let it go.

You don't trade your mid-20's franchise player.

How do we weasel our way into the KD discussions?
The Houston Rockets are not interested in discussing trades for their young players unless Devin Booker becomes available, per @SIChrisMannix

“Houston continues to take a very disciplined approach to this trade deadline. The Rockets, arguably the NBA’s biggest surprise this season, have not expressed any interest in engaging with teams about any of their top young talent. As one exec put it, ‘Unless you are calling them about Booker, they are not interested.’

If Luka could be traded, anything is possible.

Perhaps the owner likes KD more than Book. Beal overlaps the skill set. Butler makes up for any deficiencies.

It makes no sense, but you can talk yourself into it.

You didn't see Killer's overly intentional straight face, or his tongue making his cheek poke out a bit?
Not very astute ^^^^
