Golden State has been the most active in the pursuit of Durant with Phoenix holding interest in Kuminga. Golden State’s ideal plan? Bringing both LeBron and Durant to the Bay Area to play alongside Curry. Why would the Suns trade Durant when they're the ultimate win-now team? They're even worse than the Mavs in terms of pick ownership for the next few years.

What can we offer for KD that will entice them? Do we have three numbers 1 to trade now? We have our own 2025 FRP, our 2026 FRP, a 2029 Lakers pick unprotected, our 2028 FRP (swapped with OKC), and our 2030 FRP (swapped with Spurs). Mavs could technically word their trades that could include the swapped 2028 and 2030 picks. So potentially 3 FRP. 2026, 2028, 2030, or the 2029 pick. edit Forgot the 2029 pick cannot go out if we send the 2028 or 2030 picks .

Thanks for this. I am trying to THINK BIGGER than guys like Coby White, Colin Sexton, or Bogdan from ATL. We have a lot of ammo but salary matching seems like the bigger problem. Is there a borderline All-Star level wing/guard we can get?

If Grimes was on a bigger deal, or if Hardy was on a bigger deal, then yes, but their value also would be lower. Just to confirm though the most we can send out is 3 picks. Which, in a post Luka world, is a crap ton

Guess it's Colby White or bust

I am honestly fine with going after Lonzo Ball and try Portland to get Avdija

I just don't see how they do anything meaningful without including Gafford and his contract (which I now don't believe they want to do, but think they SHOULD want to do more than ever). You tell me the plan is to start with AD next to Lively, but close with one of them next to PJW? I can get on board with that. I do not even understand trying to think about keeping BOTH of the centers here, WITH Davis...they're going to end up closing games with BOTH Lively AND Gafford on the bench when Davis is healthy. Or, they'll lose those games. And, they traded Luka to put themselves into that situation. But...if they were willing to move Gafford, it sure feels like he'd be a Laker right now and Knecht or Reeves and another pick would be here in Dallas, because nobody will shut up now about how badly this leaves the Lakers needing a center. Maybe I'm wrong and they are shopping Gafford (or Lively) right now. It would help me wrap my head around all this, if so, but I really think they are going full Minnesotard. ![]() • BigDirk41, From Dirk to SCREW YOU Nico, SleepingHero, Smitty

Just so I can decide if I need to live in abject terror until the deadline...there's no realistic way for the Mavs to offer a landing spot for Brad Beal in a way that would enable PHX to unclog themselves for productive business in a multi-team deal, right?
RIGHT?

I think we're all in what's called "the bargaining stage." Which of the seven is that? Is the end of the grieving process in sight?
