The Knicks are reportedly open to trading Mitchell Robinson, per
@JLEdwardsIII

“League sources told The Athletic that they are under the impression that the Knicks are open to moving the oft-injured Robinson, who will make $14.3 million this season and $12.9 million next season. The big man, who has been a defensive anchor for New York for several seasons, underwent foot surgery in May and has yet to play in a game this season. Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau said this week that Robinson is not practicing with the team and just began running and jumping.”

[Rankin] The Suns have been talking to teams throughout the league about trading
7-footer Jusuf Nurkic, with the Atlanta Hawks being one of those teams. Suns could trade Nurkic and a first-round pick for guard Bogdan Bogdanovic, who is due $17.2 million this season.

[Siegell There has been some chatter since last night of the Suns pulling away from Jimmy Butler trade talks and focusing on improving their roster by moving Jusuf Nurkic. Hawks' Bogdan Bogdanovic is one name that keeps coming up in conversations.

Their own, Atlanta, Charlotte and Chicago top 10/15 protected (and convert to crap eventually I think). They ´d have to give Sacramento some immediate gratification. Plus you also have to consider this from Castle´s perspective. Between Fox and CP3 he´d barely get minutes, whereas on the Kings he´s the guaranteed starter.

Listening to the Hoop Collective, all three guys were dismissive of including Castle in a Fox deal.  They said let's not pretend like DeAaron Fox is Luka Doncic.

The Hawks are looking to move Bogdan Bogdanović, per @TheSteinLine

“It has been known for some time that Atlanta is willing to trade veteran center Clint Capela, but league sources say that the Hawks have begun actively exploring the trade market for their own perimeter specialist: Bogdan Bogdanović.”

His numbers have dipped pretty substantially this year.   17 million and a team option the following year.  He has previously been a really nice bench scorer.   It would be interesting to see how the Mavs compare him to Jordan Clarkson.

Not sure why his play has fallen this year.  At only 32, he should have a few good years left.   Could be a buy low candidate for some team.  At 17 million you really have to be sure though.

He was injured to start the season.

No surprise here. Bogdan has struggled shooting all season, especially from 3.

If he was a bit cheaper, I’d be all over him for a Maxi+Hardy swap. But the money doesn’t work.

Of course he’ll just add to our current logjam at guard between Kyrie, Grimes, Luka, Exum, and Dinwiddie. But I’ve always been a fan of Bogdanovic.

I don't know what the problem is; it's working for me.

One trade that works

New Orleans receives:
Dante Exum
Cash considerations

Dallas receives:
Javonte Green

This trade is contingent on New Orleans making a separate trade to drop below the luxury tax to take back the $1 million in additional salary of Exum. Green is shooting a career-high 38.5% from 3, while Exum has not played this season because of a right wrist injury. The Pelicans are acquiring Exum with part of their $9.9 million trade exception.

PASS.

I wouldn't even want him for Maxi-Hardy. He's just not worth having anymore, his 17M contract is a cap killer for next year (which is even more of a problem with hard caps), and I don't see minutes to give him. Hardy is more valuable, vastly less expensive, and next year will be getting better rather than worse.

For anyone who thinks it's a plus to get off of Maxi's contract for BB, you just turned an 11M "problem" into a 17M problem. I'd rather have a "what-if" veteran who we aren't sure is dependable with Maxi - because it's such an area of need - 1000 times more than a what-if with BB.

On its face, that looks good. But (a) what's in it for NO, and (b) is Green simply going to be a rental that you can't keep past a few months because you have no Bird rights (if so, I'm not sure it's worth the hassle)?
I'm sure these are pretty much hypotheticals. Seeing any of these trades consummated would surprise me, but you never know.

You pay for Espn insider, that's why.

Which, I get why you'd be reluctant to copy paste paid content here (we shouldn't, so you've made the right choice) but I don't think anyone else here is a subscriber (maybe RoyTarpleysGhost), so those particular links aren't really helpful.

Can you summarize the idea?
