The Miami Heat have agreed on a trade to send center Thomas Bryant to the Indiana Pacers, sources tell ESPN. The Pacers will send a swap of a future second-round pick to the Heat for Bryant, who is trade-eligible on Sunday.

The Naz Reid that briefly/never was. He was one of the first to jump on the spread five bandwagon. 50 games spread over two seasons of 14/7 with a block and +40% 3pt shooting at age 23/24, but somehow never got more than the minimum. Guess that what agents are good for.

All that reminds me that Jalen Smith is still around. Almost forget about him. Life of a Bulls player. 24 years old he´s signed to a fresh 27/3 contract. Could be a sneaky Kleber trade target and shouldn´t cost more than a 2nd round pick.

Makes sense. Pacers needed a big after losing Wiseman and Jackson to Achilles injuries.

Bryant has sort of bounced around and not really been a rotation player the last few years. There was a time when he was with Washington that he looked prime to be a real nice rotation piece. Miami probably wants to get their rookie some playing time and Bryant wasn't really helping anyway. Indy just is probably looking for someone to fill those backup minutes. Injuries have hurt them at backup center, but it also shows you that winning at the margins is important. They literally gave up on Goga who has developed into a real nice backup. Not sure why he didn't work for Rick. Not really a rim runner, but he didn't get many chances there. You can't really argue with a lot of their moves the last few years, but that is probably one.

Per B-R info, the terms of this deal have been reported in a misleading, erroneous way.

Their notes say MIA is giving to (not receiving from) Indy a protected right to swap future rounders, if MIA's 2RP pick is 31-37 (and if Indy's pick is worse, of course).
