Lakers are starting to come together more but they will not be a WC finalist let alone in the finals again during the remainder of Brons career. I am surprised they are not having players out injured with their aged team. Funny thing is Cleveland is looking better than Brons team.
DFS is a fave of mine and he is shooting 3's well enough to start for anyone. I like what Naji is bringing behind Klay and I think this team is a late season team now so they will just take a little more to wake up their game so the team can start to dominate and we saww a little of that against Denver and OKC the other day. If LA wants to go for DFS I say let them. We have talented forwards enough and Luka is a power forward playing PG. Our need is for a 6'10" or bigger PF that hits 3 pointers. Utah's LM is a nice one at 7'0 hitting better from 3 than most bigs and is still relatively young

But if Naji's play remains the same when Luka comes back, look for Naji eventually getting more minutes than Klay for playing both backup minutes for PJ and Klay.
Klay would only be starting just so he doesn't pout.
Unless of course Kidd has other dimwit things in mind.

Fultz is still dealing with injury issues
why he remains unsigned.

The asking price for Nikola Vucevic could start at two second-round picks, per
@JakeLFischer
“Vučević's $20 million salary, with a third and final season to go at $21.5 million in 2025-26, is far more palatable for teams to absorb. One GM told me he would put the two-time All-Star's likely price point in a trade at two second-round picks.”

The Chicago Bulls are willing to trade Lonzo Ball, per
@JakeLFischer
“No surprise, then, that Bulls executives, according to league sources, have been messaging to rival front offices that they are willing to discuss the majority of their roster in trade talks leading up to the Feb. 6 trade deadline. Most notably, sources say, Chicago has expressed a desire to move LaVine, Vučević and Ball — who collectively command nearly $85 million in salary this season

Jerami Grant is viewed as one of the top wings who could become available on the trade market.
The Trail Blazers are still holding a high asking price for Grant, which includes at least two first-round picks.
Grant has up to four years remaining on his contract with Portland.

The Nets have lowered the asking price on Dorian Finney-Smith to one first-round pick in early exploratory trade talks.
Finney-Smith is essentially on an expiring contract holding a $15.4 million player option for 2025-26.
Expect significant interest from plenty of contenders.

The Nets will hold a very strong asking price for Cam Johnson in potential trade talks.
It will likely take at least multiple first-round picks or an enticing young prospect alongside draft capital for Brooklyn to listen.
The 28-year-old wing is under contract through 2026-27.

I don’t think they will get it. I do find it interesting how there appears to be a tipping point on asking price for players. While some are judged at multiple first round picks, others are a conditional first or seconds.
Nico has done a good job looking for values and some of his choices have easily outpaced their asking price already.

You mean they really thought a team would give up two firsts for DFS. They should have traded him this offseason. I thought the best they would have gotten was a late first in a week draft. Unless there is a bidding war, I don’t think they get anything better now.

He is not a fit now and maybe he can’t play any longer. But he would definitely be a consideration on a price or deal next year behind Luka and Kyrie. Not sure that is the role he would want if he was healthy though.

Wow. This is either posturing or just a reporter throwing stuff out there. You are not getting two good firsts for Grant, I don’t believe. They would be lucky to get a pj type return imo

Given that Nico is now 2 out of 3 on his draft picks out-performing their draft position and that was supposed to be his strong suit, I´d not give up our 1st or the Philly 2nd lightly.
With the new CBA apron game, you´ll always need a solid new stream of young players incoming. DFS is not worth a 1st round pick, unless you want to say Kleber also has significant negative value.
Shame we have no shot getting Lavine or Simons. We get a 40%+ high volume/high difficulty 3pt shooter that can create, we are complete. I´d probably do Kleber + Philly 2nd for Schroeder. Then try to get Theis from the Pelicans. Theis with Schroeder is probably close enough to current Kleber and with our frontcourt depth his fouling problems are minimized.

IMO, Grant is overrated and way overpaid.

CJ McCollum is a trade candidate to monitor for teams as Brandon Ingram’s market remains nonexistent.
McCollum makes $33.3 million before becoming a $30.7 million expiring contract in 2025-26.
The Pelicans are likely to pivot towards a reset year amidst their awful 4-16 start.

I don't think Grant is worth 2 FRP's but it's hard not to see who POR is negotiating with here. The Lakers were all in on trying to get Grant last summer and they have the disposable contracts to make it happen. Other than them, I don't see another desperate team that is willing to pay 2 FRPs for Grant.

That's a horriblEEEE contract! It was horrible even when the Pelicans first got him from Portland, let alone now, lol... cause CJ is washed.

"Multiple league sources have relayed to me that the Pelicans and Jazz were deep in talks which were shut down by Ingram's lack of desire to re-sign in Salt Lake City."
Lots of great tidbits of info over Ingram's lack of future in New Orleans. He fired his current agency and is expected to sign with Klutch to force himself to get to a new team with a bigger contract. Whether or not that actually happens remains (unlikely) to be seen. But I find it interesting that the Jazz were open to a deal for Ingram, and Ingram decided to kill the deal because he doesn't like Utah.

Free agent forward Jae Crowder is close to a deal with the Sacramento Kings, sources tell ESPN. At 8-10 and dealing with some injuries, Kings are working to add frontcourt depth with the 13-year NBA veteran who has made two Finals appearances since 2020.
