The #Mavs have re-signed Brandon Williams to a two-way contract. He occupied one of Dallas' two-way spots last season as well.
Williams averaged 24.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists in seven games with the Texas Legends last season.

PJ is the swing player for me next year. He was great with Dallas and made some huge shots. If he can get his three to 37/38 in our offense the defense will have no answers on stopping us. For Lively, I am not even counting on a second year jump. I want him to replicate his rookie year (being better would be fine as well). We have a nice pairing at center. I would like to see Lively continue to grow that come playoff time, he is a 30 minute a game player. For the regular season though, him and Gafford can split those minutes mostly.
Wonder how serious they are about letting Lively shoot 3's. If he can hit them at a decent clip they could run some 5-out in addition to his rim rolling then the offense would really be unstoppable.

Best part about this is that the first move I really don't like is a two-way contract. Just don't like undersized score first guards.

The Mavs have signed Jazian Gortman to an Exhibit 10 deal, per @KeithSmithNBA.
Gortman, 21, is slated to play for the Dallas Summer League team.
The 6’2 guard (6’9 wingspan) describes himself as a defensive pest that gets his teammates involved.

It looks like he could provide some DJJ like energy based on this video from last year.

Seeing this guy, I see another case of more flash than substance. No fundamentals, chasing highlight plays, AAU cancer.
He was probably better served going to college for 4 years and developing vs. going to this overtime elite league.
Lets see how he performs in summer league and if its more of the same or if he actually has something.

6'9" wingspan on a guy with 6'2" movement ability is enticing. Most of these two-way contract types don't amount to much, though. It's not like he's going to play.

Most of these exhibit 10 guys don’t get two way contracts right away., I believe. Mavs probably saw something they like and want to give him some time and hopefully assign to g league. He will need to be really special being a 6’2 guard for me to want to put him as a two way. Especially since we already have a small guard as a two way.
I find it Interesting Greg Brown is not on a summer league roster. At least I have not seen him. He disappeared late in the season. He was not on the bench in the playoffs and didn’t even make it to the team picture. I hope he is ok.
I don’t believe Jelly Walker is on a summer league team as well. Last year Brian Demaris said he had a fan really high in the organization and he would be surprised if he was not a two way guy. I think this person was Cuban. Now he may not even be on a roster. I never viewed him as an nba player but he put some stats up in g league.

Listening to this, I can easily see why Duds is a coach-in-waiting. I love how he knows how to motivate players to recognize who they are, but to try and want to be better.
Definitely changes my perspective of him as a goofy looking role player.

The measureables are enticing for sure, but the play paired with it makes me nauseous to be honest.
I hope he proves me wrong but he looks like his goal is to make a fire AND-1 mixtape instead of make an NBA team.

This +100
Yeah Dudley is gone as soon as the right opportunity arises. His energy and patience exhibited by waiting and not just grabbing the first open job are good signs for his future. I think Kidd is a lot like NFL coaches in that he has a really strong staff behind him and the team will start to notice when those coaches take better opportunities. Rick suffered this type of attrition after the championship when Terry Stotts and Dwayne Casey landed head coaching jobs as well as Mosley moving to Orlando.

Would also be an explanation for THJs drop in confidence and performance after TDL. Seemingly the gamble to keep the veteran has not paid out.

I dont buy it. Detroit has a brand new gm and coach. They weren’t there at trade deadline. Detroit had some interest in adding a veteran but adding 3 seconds was the reason. They hope to be able to move Hardaway again. Was that enough for 3 seconds? Feels like they may have gotten better assets with their space. Maybe they didn’t want bad longer contracts though. grimes not Hardaway really don’t matter to Detroit as they continue their build.

Is it better than Kobe Bryant by Lil Wayne? That's a classic.
