Well that is actually a reasonable contract. Respect.
Told you Cuban was the reason nobody wanted to come here, whether it was personal dislike or just the perceived incompetence, maybe both.

Agreed, but I'm concerned that some are pointing out it's not a legal contract for a sign-and-trade.
Apparently, the third year CAN'T be an option. That's no big thing, because it's a player option, anyway, so they might as well just take the option away because he was 100% going to exercise it, but...
...is there a chance Dallas doesn't understand what's legal and what's not?
Value wise, I'm happy with the three year deal.

I absolutely thought it was Cuban.
Find me at Lakersball.com. I'm done with the Nico and the Mavs.

I'm going to go out on a limb an assume they know the rules.

Can we also have a moment of prayer for Josh Green as he has to play with that moron Grant Williams again.

I'm sure the Mavs brass has the legalities figured. I suspect the error is in translation from agents to NBA talking heads. I'm still hoping the deal is 3 years with a 4th year team option. That could give us an asset on the back end as well.

Well, I think so, too. Hopefully, the inconsistencies are in the reporting, as people try to be first.

Interesting. 1 year deal means it is not MLE (needs to be three year minimum). So Philly probably SnT Melton to TE GS created with Thompson deal

[Wojnarowski] Warriors and Mavericks still working through details of sign-and-trade, which includes Hornets sending the Mavericks two second-round picks for Josh Green, sources tell ESPN. One of those picks could end up in Golden State. Thompson will land in Dallas on the three-year deal.

Dallas gets a pick, too? Let Nico cook. I love that he takes picks seriously.

So does this mean we have motion on offense or are we just going to park Klay in the corner?

And a possible 2nd rounder or two? Nico is a beast of a closer.

With Klay signed and Josh gone, does Nico have the option to make any other moves to free up cash? I thought I read somewhere we could waive AJ Lawson to free up some for a BAE possibly?

Thanks! Would be interested in what vets would be interested in joining with the looks of building a championship level roster.
