Mavs barely beat them with a unhealthy Luka. I'm super excited about this team with a healthy Luka.

I don't think Luka, with how he plays, and his body composition will ever be totally healthy through a long NBA season.  He gets too many nagging, lingering injuries. Maybe he surprises us and comes back in the best shape of his life. But he plays too much to let his body heal. He's playing now for FIBA, correct?

I have a feeling theMavs view this as a two year window, at which point he becomes a trade matching vehicle for the new #2 guy, whoever that will be. Unless we win a title, then he might stay the full contract.

I´d like three years more, but that was never going to happen, unless you bump the average above $20M. It will all come down to his health and attitude now.

They didn’t offer Kyrie a 4yr deal, I don’t expect them to give one to Klay. Maybe with the 4th year being a TO but even that feels rich.

Salary-wise he’d be in the $16-17M/yr range. Don’t think that’s outlandish. But a 2yr deal with a TO for yr 3 would be MUCH better.
