What’s the chances nobody at Klutch told DJJ the 15 day thing before enticing him to switch agencies? I’m not saying it for sure happened but it’s nonzero right

It seems quite possible their plan is to try to stay under the tax line IF Klay says no, but will go on up to the Apron to get him, if he says yes. My numbers show that the biggest practical number for a Klay offer now would be around 17.45M in 1st year salary (or less), and that the deal could be as simple as Green for Klay, after 1st doing the THJ deal. Over 3 years, the total could be as high as 55M. I like that the Mavs are still in the mode of working to get reasonably-sized deals, but disappointed they aren't able to keep DJJ. But DJJ messed that up by switching agents at such a stupid time that prevented the Mavs from dealing with him. ![]() • audiosway, BigDirk41, From Dirk to SCREW YOU Nico, Jmaciscool, KillerLeft, RoyTarpleysGhost, SleepingHero, Smitty

If Mavs are signing Naji Marshall instead of DJJ, then keeping Josh Green is now a must. Naji is not someone who can be played between Luka and Kyrie as a POA defender.
G: Kyrie G: Grimes/Green F: Luka/Naji (<---- Naji can play here) F: PJW/Naji (<---- or Naji can play here) C: Lively/Gafford

during the summer league and camp last year omax was the guy that looked more ready for nba if I remember correct. just give omax some more chances tbh. not signing DJJ or even Klay would probably turn out to be blessing in disguise for the long term tbh.

That is unless the Warriors value Russell or Norman Powell (can the Clips even SnT now?).

LOL The Mavs can only keep Green if Klay chooses not to come here, and that happens to be the one scenario in which, yup, they do indeed choose to keep Green.

it's really dumb of djj to change agent with his pay day right around the corner. there's a reason he gets generally underpaid through the years.

Klay likely wants to see proposed deals to see what teams would have left on the roster after a S&T. That long with money will likely be the factor. He's competitor and wants to win. Dallas is in a good position with this.

I would much rather prefer Isaiah Joe than Klay Thompson, at this point in time. Isaiah Joe showed us in the last playoffs that he's not a Buddy Hield type of 3-point shooter, i.e., who cannot play defense.

Paul George will meet with the Sixers soon in Los Angeles, which will likely conclude with an agreement, per @wojespn. Philadelphia is prepared to offer George a four-year, $212 million deal.

DJJ really screwed himself imo. He was going to get anywhere from 8-11 per year from the Mavs and he's probably not getting anywhere near that after the 15 day period. Who knows what teams will have money and a non contender doesn't need a defensive player like him that can't score on his own. He got some bad advice imo.
