Retiring? Returning to europe? Or available?

He would be a great fit for Mavs. Or any other team, really Smile

Mavericks have a $16.1M trade exception created from the Tim Hardaway Jr. trade.

Lakers and Clippers would be $12.8M non-tax ML unless a sign/trade.

76ers could have $14M in room if Paul George signs with them.

Mavs can only spend 13.4M of that 16.xM TPE on Klay, unless they send another player outbound, because of the Hard Cap. (It was 13.9, but the numbers were lowered by cap revision.)

That's not a big difference.

That's not a big difference.

I think its understood that they will be sending out Green (or someone else) to open up that full 16.2 TPE.

Like Nico said before free agency began: "Money is not an issue... we are going to spend all the money we have available."

With cap space teams Orlando focused on wing free agents and Utah focused on current roster decisions, and Knicks working to un-hardcap — sources say the OKC Thunder are in Eugene, Oregon, set to meet with Isaiah Hartenstein.

That's not a big difference.

Mavs have at least until July 6th, when deals can become official, to figure out the difference. They can use the full TPE and then make another move to create space under the hard cap. Point is, they can offer 16 mil as it is, whithout sending a player to GSW, if that is their preference.

Batum back-tracked the retiring talk in the middle of last season. I think he wants to ring chase at least 1 more year if he can.

But who knows? The fact he won't come back to Philly tells me they've filled his position.

Or he doesn't want to play for vet min, because looks like Philly is going the cap space way, which will pretty much limit them on who they can retain.
Get me Spencer back here !!!!
need to send out more salary to make it possible for us to get Batum imho. would be a nice backup PF tbh.

Wouldn’t this kick in after next season, or no?

Big Grin Big Grin

Logically it should be. Nothing prevented teams to announce that they have re-signed their own FA, except tactical reasons and nobody should be able to negotiate new players this quickly. Teams have been very disciplined keeping a straight face. Silver must be very pleased.
This Klay "saga" is dumb.

Isaiah Joe is available for at least a quarter of Klay's total dollars.... and he's a better shooter and defender than Klay is today...

Russ for Dwight. I actually think Russ running our 2nd unit would be great. We have nobody that can drive to the rim and we could use a guy to light a fire under some asses, though the Aussie ass that needs the biggest firecracker would probably be gone.
