If I'm the old agent, I'm suing anyway.  I laid all the groundwork the past few weeks.

His agent is now Rich Paul of Klutch.

They have to wait till July 11th because that is the rule if you change representation before free agency.

Max Christie extends with Lakers 4 years 32 million. That was the tsrget I was looking at Hardy this offseason. Not sure if he is in plans now

The discount that LeBron would have to take to sign a MLE player just got bigger. Still think that's happening?

@YahooSports Call an agent who represents a wing not named Paul George, Klay Thompson or Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and they'll tell you their client's options likely depend on the outcomes for those three veterans. More @YahooSports: https://sports.yahoo.com/live/nba-free-a...03840.html

Source: Mavericks will heavily pursue Klay in free agency

https://www.nbcsportsbayarea.com/nba/gol...y/1750567/

Asked via text message if the Mavs are hunting Klay as hard as the competition, the source, with deep Western Conference knowledge, responded with a one-word message: “Harder.”

The reports today had that number jumping to a $20mm discount…which now makes sense.

Starting to feel pretty good about the Mavs getting what they want accomplished: Klay and DJJ.

Just hope both those fellas buy into their roles. Guessing Klay will want to start. DJJ hopefully is happy off the bench. Klay hopefully is willing to sit if crunch time calls for a defensive lineup.

Per Marc Stein: Since we've been saying on this Substack since Friday, "Dallas is in in the lead for Klay."

Marc Stein is the GOAT if this happens.

The Warriors are waiving guard Chris Paul, who had a $30M guarantee date today, sources tell ESPN. He becomes a free agent.

I will say everything Stein has said has been right on the money so far regarding the Mavs (as always!).

He frames everything as suggestions yet it plays out that way. I think he only does that so the Mavs don't get hit with tampering charges.

Shams Charania maintains that the Warriors are expecting Klay Thompson to depart, even after waiving Chris Paul.

Jake Fischer (@JakeLFischer)
@YahooSports Golden State waiving Chris Paul now positions the Warriors to access their full $12.8 million mid-level exception should it also lose Klay Thompson, the Warriors plan to be creative in how to spend that salary slot, sources said.

I wonder if Donnie Nelson is taking a nap as a tradition when NBA free agency begins?

I bet his source is also wording it that way to not get hit with tampering charges.

That could imply that the Warriors don't want salary back in a Klay S&T.

James Harden plans to sign a two-year, $70 million contract to return to the Los Angeles Clippers, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Harden’s agents – Mike Silverman, Troy Payne and Brandon Grier of Equity Sports – have been working with Clippers officials to finalize new deal.
