I have to disagree. I'd be THRILLED with that.

I think DFS is a JAG.  He looked great on defense here because he was one of the only players we had that could defend at all.  He's been mediocre in Brooklyn and I think he'd be the same coming back here.  Would I be mad?  No, but doesn't seem like a great use of $15 million.  I'm hoping OMax is able to improve over the offseason and take a bunch of those minutes, but obviously that's yet to be seen.

I'm with you on O-Max. Worlds of excitement for him from me.

Setting aside the conversation about whether or not DFS should be brought back now, I will endeavor to forget that you used his name and "JAG" in the same sentence so that we can remain friends.

DFS may be paid a bit higher than his real value but I won't have no problems seeing him in mavs uniform again. the reunion with DFS would delight luka as much as the acquisition of a star player (not very likely thoguh), if not more, and for that lone it is worth the money, not to say DFS deserves it also by himself for his long service as a mav. of course it'd be great if he got waived and signed back for vet min, too bad the nets still see him as an asset.
Why is thj STILL ON THE TEAM!!!! Why are y’all talking dfs. He ain’t good. We need better!!!

The Hornets are in asset collection mode as they acquire Reggie Jackson alongside three second-round picks from the Nuggets, per @wojespn.

With Charlotte’s young guard rotation, Jackson could soon be re-routed or bought out to join a contending team.

The Portland Trailblazers are expected to take calls on Robert Williams, per @HPbasketball

“Portland is expected to field offers for Robert Williams, despite his injury history, and Ayton, despite his, well, Ayton history. Grant is thought to be available but the price is high; Portland is not actively trying to move his contract.”

The Jazz are indeed open to trading Walker Kessler.

Utah will hold a firm, heavy price for the 7-foot rim protector, but there is significant interest from other teams.

Kessler averaged 8.1 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.4 blocks this season.

Suns, Warriors, Lakers and Nuggets cleaned up the interesting names. I wonder how the Mavs are going to use their two-way spots. In my opinion they should replace all three guys that finished the last season with the team.
Did I read correctly that Denver paid 3 second-round picks to move on from a reasonably useful Reggie's Jackson's $5.2mm contract.  So, does it take 9 seconds to move on from the reasonably useful THJ at $16mm?

Do we still think the Toronto second is going to move THJ to the Pistons AND get us Grimes?

You’re right. Green for Grimes straight up it is!

Harsh reality check. Mavs aren't as desperate as the 2nd apron teams and a little bit of patience might reduce the price but it is going to take more than a few seconds or a pick swap if the Mavs want to get something useful in return or trade him for air.
seems air is some kind of actual asset in the league today, with hard cap in place.
