GAME 2 NBA FINALS 2024: Dallas Mavericks (0-1) vs. Boston Celtics (1-0)

What play?  The dunk?

Boston scored 107 and 105 yet we couldn’t win either. Haven’t scored 100 yet which is shocking to me. Going in to the series if you told me Boston’s final point total I’d have thought we’d win both games.

Jaylen Brown shoved him in the back but the baseline official was probably screened off from seeing it. Tough break.

I'm sure that'll fix all our issues

He was fouled. Doesn’t matter. The Celtics played well below average and beat the Mavs rather easily. Kyrie obviously has the yips against them… Mavs no chance with Luka vs a super team.

Winning would be great, but I don't see Boston losing 4 of 5 games. I think this series is over, but do hope we can win our home games and make it interesting. At least make them earn it. This will definitely be a learning lesson for this group. Kyrie has really cost this team any chance it had and that's unfortunate with how important he was to getting the Mavs here.

I would have picked Denver.

Boston can basically have a different player show up as the "Best Player" on the team every game. Tatum will probably have a big 30+ point game coming up next

Most disappointing game since the Heat series. Boston played terrible. Game was there to win. Every time they had something cooking they just did something unfathomably stupid. But that’s the good news too. If Kyrie plays better, Luka plays smarter, and the supporting cast stops trying to do too much, they could get back into the series.

Oh, and Kyrie’s shoes are probably worse than his play. They’re ridiculous. I wonder if it’s the shoes?

Unlike game 1 we had a chance in this game. While they say a series doesn’t start until the home team loses I don’t feel good going home. We really beat ourselves tonight. Missed FT and Luka turnovers killed us. So if we clean that up make there’s hope.

I don’t know the answers.

Boston feelss like they can get good looks every possession. Jrue and Holdiay playing like all stars. Boston hits their theees and it feel like we lose by 20 again.

Mavs don’t feel like they have anyone to give them offense beside Luka.

Kyrie has met his match with the Boston guards. Holiday and White are the reason he's not playing very well.

Mavs played hard. Give them credit there. Just didn’t do enough of the winning plays. Missed free throws, offensive rebounds and turnovers. And no one of the reserves stepped up for a surprise 20 point game

This is a bad match up for Dallas. Mavs are bad at defending home. I don't have any confidence in them protecting home court.

Exum gave us some nice minutes. Kidd went away from Green in the second half. PJ had some nice drives and was aggressive. Gafford was really good. Missed fts were an absolute killer and Gafford has been atrocious from the line it seems all playoffs.

I agree although he is missing some very makeable shots. Has he made a 3 yet in this series?

23 percent from 3 for Dallas. 4-9 from Luka. Only two made threes from everyone else.

Not going to win like thst

Andrew Nembhard destroyed those same defenders.  Kyrie is just in his own head.

Green may lose some minutes.  Hopefully our reserves play better at home.

May run with Hardy and Exum though.  Probably not the answers but Mavs need guys who will attack.
