GAME 2 NBA FINALS 2024: Dallas Mavericks (0-1) vs. Boston Celtics (1-0)
#1
Okay, I am going for 4-0 on all game threads that I start. Time for the Mavs to muck this game up a bit and get physical with the Celts and see what happens. LETS GO MAVS

Well Luka is downgraded to doubtful to play. I would guess he plays but not great for downgrading him right before the game. We need a plus level Luka to have a shot

I see he is questionable. Where do you see doubtful?

Per Marc Stein!!!

Luka Dončić, I'm told, is on course to play in tonight's Game 2 of the NBA Finals as you would expect as we close in on tipoff in about four hours ... despite the discomfort visible during yesterday's open media session in Boston.

Yes, that was my mistake.

Celtics are 12-0 on Sundays with an average victory margin of 20 points.

Time to break a streak.

Hopefully the Mavs offense is more awake this game. Can't have stinkers from 7 out of 8 guys.

I also hope the defense intensity is up to par and they've made the right adjustments.

Tony Brothers is reffing this game so we already know it's going to be an interesting one.

Great start! Gafford has been physical they are grabbing the hell out of him. Glad to see him get a couple of those calls early.

Like the start. Boston has yet to even attempt a 3. Still feel like we’re missing offensive rebounds we should be getting.

Kyrie locked in. Let’s get Lively going now.

I think that is still going to end up as Celtics ball. Not a great challenge even if they win.

Looked like Jaylen Brown was face guarding and grabbing Lively on that box out. I hope Kidd is asking these refs to watch the way they are “boxing out” out bigs. Thought they got away with a lot in game 1.

Brown is a BULL. Just boxes out Lively like they’re both Centers. JFC.

Wild block from White a few possessions ago, too. Mid air, turns around and still somehow slaps the ball.

Challenging this early without nailing it is a big mistake. Whoever made that call behind the scenes…dude wtf.
