Cuban is so petty. Maybe some will agree with him but to me is just so amateurish. All time low level of confidence in him.

Sure it would've had an affect had the refs called it properly. Does that change the fact that his own players and coached shit the bed so bad we haven't seen a result like that in 25 years? No. Which is why it's so puzzling Cuban thinks it's a good idea to bring this up.

Maybe Cuban should focus on getting players that can make FT's to win a game. Luka you have to live with because Luka, but everyone else...

I also think I'd make Kleber a bold name.

Luka will get them and Dinwiddie has had stretches, but they need more. Wood can also get them. The slow pace just kills me. It is frustrating to see us make a three and the other team push and get an easy basket right afterwards. We need ways to get more easy baskets. I hate it when we have an advantage and are going up the court at no rush or settle for a three. It would be great to try to get to the basket first. When I look at guys like Collins and Green now and Hardy in the future, they are going to want to play a faster pace. Do we need to factor this in with the guys we are interested in? Is this something that can change?

Wood can also get them. You're spot on. But how are they going to play faster when the ball is in Luka"s hand, 95% of the time and he plays at his own speed.? That's where they miss Brunson.

I guess you never watched Slovenian national team. Also, please explain why pace basically doesn't change when Luka is out, which was true for this and last season. Since you mentioned Brunson - pace actually increased by 4 points when he was off the court last season. What I think - Mavs simply don't have players capable of pushing the ball and beating a defender of the dribble. Green might be the honorable exception.

It was no coincidence that Luka had a great shooting game last night coming off a rest period. The rest (as you point out) can´t run, cause nobody can dribble, when he´s not on the floor. Generally I´d assume that the Mavs run a shorter rotation than most other teams during the regular season.

It appears you are allowed to yell at Powell afterall

Luka/Green is the 2nd highest pace duo on the Mavs, behind Green/Bullock (100 min+). Luka/Green 102.21 Pace Luka/SD 95.91 Pace Green is a 3 times better fit anyway, fight me on that. Luka/Green (SD bench): 126 ORTG 105 DRTG Luka/SD (Green bench): 116 ORTG 118.45 DRTG I don't see Green ever not be better next to Luka, since Luka/SD is just too much traffic cone on D. And the Mavs seems to be slipping in DefRtg with every minute he is injured.

But, I suspect the internal dynamics of sitting SD (or even Tim) in favor of Green would be challenging. But, if you want the benefit of a seasoned Green in the playoffs, it needs to happen fairly soon. One encouraging note is Green seems to have fully surpassed Bullock in the rotation…baby steps. That is no small feat. Replacing SD with Green would be so much easier if one of THJ or Powell were also replaced with someone who could create a little.

Didn't read the article but Luka is #4. Only other Mavs are Wood at 76 and Dinwiddie at 77.
