The guy that had to check KD all night.

Only two options here. Luka or the guy who hit a tough gamewinner off the Luka pass to get revenge on his former team.
Because it was against Brooklyn I'll give it to Spencer

Luka Brunsonwiddie

I voted Luka, yeah boring like that.

Luka had an incredible game too. But I felt the key part of the game was led by Brunson+Dinwiddie in the beginning of the 4th. They cut the deficit to 4 before Luka subbed back in.
Just close enough to let Luka lead the team to the end. I mean heck there were a lot of times tonight Luka deferred to both Brunson and Dinwiddie and they made the correct play every time. This game definitely highlighted the Mavs desperate need for a center. Andre Drummond nearly had a double double in the first 4 minutes of the game.

I think the broadcast said he was top 5 in the whole NBA?

Rebounding has been an achilies heel for the Mavs for a long while now. Drummond is a free agent this summer. I'd love someone like him on the cheap. I am curious if our rebounding woes and inside presence will be where our wheels fall off in the playoffs. He had double digit rebounding in the first.

No Kyrie (and I guess no Simmons) which allowed you to blitz KD most of the game and the Nets were playing in a back-to-back in which the had to travel. /party pooper (03-16-2022, 09:50 PM)cow Wrote: I'd have voted Kidd for the Dirkie given the option. Sit him in the clutch and let a fresh DP and MK take over. Not sure I specifically want Drummond, but if he's in the $8-12M range, I wouldn't have that big a problem if we picked him up. I think that's too much for someone of his skillset honestly. He's making 2.4 this year. Dwight Howard has made 3 or less the last four seasons. McGee has made 5 or less the last eight seasons.

Spencer Dinwiddie --- wow, what a couple of games! Keep it up, don't change a thing, SD.
