I am totally not worried about him on the offensive end. I'll live with any lack of production that comes from bad refs, because Boban totally makes up for it, but this team has to defend.

If I remember correctly, they almost literally did that the first year he owned the team. I know the owners were pissed that he sat so close to his team - I can't remember if walking onto the court was part of it, too, but I don't see why it wouldn't have been. He put it out there that he was happy to simply pay the fines forever, so they stopped.

I think everyone is a little confused here. I've always wanted to see a team run a 2nd unit through a gifted post scorer who is a non-superstar and who had defensive weakness. I dubbed it the Kanter. Before Randle soared to new heights with the Knicks, he was a favorite of mine for this role. I don't think Boban has ever had the stamina for that role and certainly not now as he's aged and his historic efficiency has started to dwindle. I'm not sure Cousins could survive a season of it at this point either. I'm also not advocating that this team employs that strategy either. It's just a pet idea.

I really hope this factors into the Mavs evaluation. The Clippers and Nuggets may be much better next year, so the Mavs need to keep the big picture in mind as they continue to build.

I believe those are his stats from junior year in high school.

Wow Jalen Smith has been balling lately and the Suns already made the mistake of making him an UFA.
Add another player to the young former lottery pick pool for 2022.
Last 10 games of Jalen Smith
13/8 on 57/39/83 shooting
[Last 10 games of Malik Monk
21/3/2 on 57/46/90 shooting]
These are the kind of players we should target for the MLE in the summer. Maybe Smith can be acquired in a trade for a veteran given that the Suns are in win now mode.

Like him or not, LeBron is truly a legend. More records will continue to fall in his wake.

At least Drummond is an elite rebounder... Something Dallas lacks.

Honestly I've always been surprised at how many of the guys that post here regularly seem to hate his guts
I was much harder towards Durant and the bitch move he made joining the Warriors.
Lebron I was fine with. Not the best fit with Dwade and they had to strip that team down to nothing to get the main 3 locked up. Especially true after we beat them
I think I've watched more Lebron games over the past decade than I've watched Mavs games.

LeBron is amazing and I still think he's a robot or alien. I can't imagine having the expectations put on him as a teen and he's more than delivered. I don't love his personality as he seems to come off a bit manipulative and self serving, but he also seems to be a genuinely good person (just look at him with his kids). I think most folks problem with him is the shortcuts he took to chasing rings. I can't blame him for leaving Cleveland but his last few playoff games and "the decision" are a little damning. From there, he always seemed to look for the greener pastures. Maybe things would have turned out different if he were in a stable organization from day one, but that's not how it worked out.

are they real, or just a flash in the pan?
Lance Stephenson last two games:
30 points against the Nets
16 points, 14 assists, 6 rebounds against the Jazz
Omer Yurtseven from the Heat recent rebound games:
16,16,17, 16, 13,14,15,12,13,12
I don't know how the Heat do it but they just find/develop these guys all the time.

Would love to know how they do it. Last season they picked up Max Struss. This season they added Kyle Guy. Feels like both cannot miss from 3.

Kyle Guy was one of my pet late round/undrafted guys a few years ago. I thought he had some Seth Curry in his game. Although to be honest, his current hair style turns me off to him. Ha ha.
