I was hopeful I would be intrigued with any of the guys outside of Hinton and Terry.  To be honest, I didn't see much so far.

He's had like maybe 6 good possessions this game. A couple of nice dishes. A couple of nice drives.

He's also totally unable to get a clean shot off. He is like a wild animal driving to the basket with no sense of control flinging up crazy attempt after crazy attempt. And that's if he can get there because he's had several careless turnovers.

The only reason we're liking what we're seeing from Terry is because how absolutely horrific everyone else is playing. I've seen better middle school games.

You shouldn't wear you bell when you play though. Can't get any steals when everyone knows where you are.

Ignoring the talent. 76ers have more structure. Defined roles. Maxey running the show. Rest of the players knowing that they have to cut, roll or spot up. A defensive game plan. Collapsing on Mavs drives. Helping of the weak side shooter. They know Dallas cannot shoot and take advantage.
Mavs coaching is embarassing. Just a bunch of guys driving to the rim and crashing the board to stuff the boxscore. No spacing. No ball movement.  Not sure how any self respecting coach can watch this. I would be out of timeouts by now.

Wearing my bell would be an udder disaster.

The talent problem we have here is the same we face on the main roster. Our strategic planning, asset management and talent evaluation have been garbage. Jaden Springer is the projected "worst" player in their starting five and he´s probably better than all the guys on our roster.

The Sixers picked Maxey (21st) and Joe (50th). They outscored the Mavs 34-31 in the first half by themselves.

That's a good joke. You should milk it for all it's worth.

Is it because of lack of coaching or lack of talent? (and I know you said to ignore it)

Seriously I only ask because seeing how these guys are playing is making me think no coach can make these dudes passable?

You do have a point about the structure (or lack thereof). Just think the main issue is the giant chasm of talent between the teams and less about coaching.

Yay my boy Springer, already had some nice plays on defense.

Terry with a nice rebound and then gets swatted to oblivion.

True. Needs someone to put the ball on the floor or make a pass. Right now it looks like most of them can barely dribble the ball up the floor without turning it over.

If I am Green, and I know I cannot create offense for myself, I´m like you know the Olympics were exhausting, let me sit out SummerLeague and rest up.

Maxey attacking Terry all game long. Getting whatever he wants. And he is just a guy in the NBA.

Terry with two really bad defensive possessions.  One Maxey bumps him and he goes flying and the other he reached on springer and gave up an easy bucket off pass.

It's hilarious because as I read what you posted I watched 21 just dribble the ball in front of Reed and turned it over. Like what in the world??

Can the Mavs cut the entire roster and start from scratch?

Hinton has been disappointing to me as well. I really like him.  He is a glue guy in the NBA.  But in these games he has to stick out more.  Just looks like a guy out there today
