Is he a bad locker room guy? I know people where unhappy he stuck to his guns around his no-trade clause, but that's his right.

Sexton is still at the top of my list, of the available free agents... The list isn't great. Sexton provides some scoring/shooting. Tries on the defensive end. We know Schmitz liked him in the draft. Can be a spot starter if/when Kyrie misses games.

I'd push back against the horrible lockerroom presence. Beal has never been a locker room cancer. If you're referring to his time in PHX, I'd say KD was the biggest issue on that team locker room wise.
And sure Sexton or Simons could give 20ppg, but they have never been close to the level of Beal ever in their careers. Beal intrigues me because he's one of the few guards that can actually playmake.
But Sexton and/or Simons are also on my list. I just think Beal is a better first get (and potentially cheaper).

I wouldn't mind Sexton, but I think he'll command more money that I'd be willing to commit. Same could be true of my leading horse, Grimes though I think he'll want more money than the market will bear.

Unfortunate if they let him go.
But I'd understand if they do. Cisse was a solid big, but on a team with Lively/Gafford/Morez it's hard to keep him on a 2-way.

no, thanks
He's not a guy that impacts winning. (i have no idea about his locker room presence)

Possible. I think it's unlikely. Not a ton of teams with cap space. Many will have to accept the NTPMLE.

The tension with Wall, the fan incident, the stuff in Phoenix, his perception of himself as an elite player. Hasn´t played more than 60 games in nearly a decade, all due to various injuries. I don´t see what he could possibly add to a rebuilding team. Is he accepting that he´s not only behind Flagg and Kyrie in the pecking order, but a back-up to Christie, too?
I´m not even sure he gets more than the $5.6M. I assume he opted out of that deal to not be on the rebuilding Clippers anymore and to not be a salary-match in an outgoing trade with no chance to choose his next team. Probably will end up on Miami, Golden State, Knicks or Lakers for the minimum.

The Clippers reportedly view Jaylen Brown as a potential replacement for Kawhi Leonard, per

“If the Clippers were to move on from Leonard and not pay him the extension he’s looking for, Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown would be LA’s top target to replace the two-time NBA Finals MVP, league sources told ClutchPoints.”

I wasn't going to say anything until you doubled down here. But what you wrote conveyed to me EXACTLY the same thing Scott said it did, and my takeaway was the very same as his.
You blame him for reading something into your words. I think he just read what you said, used normal comprehension reading like any of us, and reacted to what you wrote.

I know he was super interested in playing there during his “prime.” Can’t remember if he ever made it happen.

John Wall is an idiot. Fans are idiots and while I don't think a player should confront a disgruntled gambler, I also don't think that just because you bought baseline tickets you are immune from the consequence that comes out of your mouth. KD was in Phoenix. None of that would make me think of him as a bad locker room guy. I'm not advocating for him on the team, he's just too old and injury prone and the defensive pairing with he and Kyrie would be rough, but I'm not sure I've ever heard him called a locker room cancer.

If they turn Harden, Kawhi, Zubac into Brown, Garland, Mathurin, Wagler at the cost of like two 1st round picks, that´s an amazing re-tooling job. The new owners in Houston, Phoenix, and L.A. gave new owner bozo vibes early, but they all have quickly corrected their course, which is unfortunate. Ah well, we will always have Vivek.

Lots of people saying Balmer and LAC want Brown badly. I wonder how Kawhi Leonard feels about Boston. The whole Kawhi/Clippers era has just been so fascinating.

I think it's a 3 way trade brewing, with KL to TOR and smaller pieces to BOS. I think a significant factor in BOS willingness to trade Brown is the huge extension that would be upcoming to an over-30 player, and KL would bring an even more extreme version of that.
