What a game.    Knicks have that heart of a champion thing going on.   I said the Spurs thought they were getting a coronation this series, instead they got a bar fight.  After a great first half, they forgot you need to play the full game.  Credit to the KNicks though.

I am going to think of the two players Masai drafted late who have been two of the best players in the finals in consecutive years, rather than two of the best players in the finals who he traded too late or or for too little.

Michael Redd: Knicks pull off a Game 4 W for the ages. My takeaways: -The Spurs need a heartbreak to prep for their eventual Championship, and tonight was it. Every great team has gone through this. They'll cry in the locker room tonight and be better for it in the coming seasons -I never felt SAS' lead was safe. The Knicks are the more mature team, they're physical, and they smell blood when it's in the water. You can't let a team like that hang around. You gotta kill them off fully -Experience is trumping talent in this series. The Spurs are the most talented team left, but the "somewhat" talented, ultra-experienced extremely gritty Knicks know how to close. Last year's heartbreak, imo, against Indiana built this -Beat the Spurs now. Because Wemby and Dylan Harper for the next 10 years is scary.

What type of contract is Alvarado playing himself into as a backup point guard?

I have to say that I'm not a fan of either team, but the Game 4 finish was inspiring for anyone who likes basketball.

I've always thought Wemby was a spectacular, once in a generation, talent. But I have to say my appreciation of his game has been tarnished by some of the thuggery he's displayed during these playoffs. Taunting, unnecessary force, headshots, elbows, flops, etc.

Between SAS and OKC, teams are going to need padding to survive a season. Interesting to see if Silver feels the need to address the physicality and whether it lasts more than just a couple of weeks.
