Hoping to see Seva also back. I don’t mind losing as long as youngsters with spark are showing up. SL was not a fluke as I have said before. Both Larrea and he have something. Let’s see what their ceilings are.

I don't completely blame him, but we lost our rhythm with these Clayton minutes.

You got to rest your main scoring weapon some but now the game is out of reach

we had the score within 9 and we should have out in starters plus Sasser and Sergio that duo was solid

Valiant effort tonight. No such thing as a moral victory in pro sports, but this is a close as you can get to one.

Christie was just bad tonight.

Sergio and Sasser are showing that we got something solid with those 2 and you mix in how Risacher is playing and then Kyrie Cooper and our PF and C rotation and we have a contender that could be winning over 50

Weird rotations the last quarter and a half. Almost feels like we wanted no part of winning this game. I guess I prefer erring towards youth development, but it is a tricky balance. We need to work on our OOB sets and plays. Fun game though.

Well lame.
At the end they hit their big threes and we bricked ours
Got to love the effort tho

3 for 3 games with Naji leading the team in assists.

Only thing that is missing from the Mavs season is their own draft pick.

Denver might be washed. Jokic has not signed an extension either, right?

Caleb Wilson 30/14. Between him and Boozer was it really too much to give us the 3rd or 4th pick, Adam?

Good loss. Quality loss! Everyone on offense was doing whatever they wanted, scoring at will (except Max Christie but I guess we will be on the Christie rollercoaster this season)

This game was a tale of intangibles. Speaking as a fan...I wasn't a fan of the rotations tonight. But I guess May is still learning and experimenting.

Marshall should never be a focal part of the offense. His strength is catching the defense asleep and tip toeing through the tall tulips--to score.

Sergio and Sasser are a pretty good 1/2 punch...and Risacher is very active and disruptive. I like all three of them.

Speaking of a point guard--nobody did? Well I do! A point guard doesn't have to be the best player on the court--but he does need to be at least one of the best at "seeing" the court and the moving geometry of all the players...not just his own team. Sergio is a point guard. The team was all discombobulated until he came in and righted the ship. He scored...true, but a point guard needs to score to help open the game up. Every time Sergio switched out the game would get away from them...until, finally it was too late. I REALLY liked how he would get the defender on his shoulder and keep him there. Sergio did play some good minutes though.

With Cooper Flagg out this should have been a game for PJ to shine. He played--good, but I hoped for more.

Gafford played well, but he has a tendency to wear down--or maybe it's just lose confidence as the game goes on. Maybe both .

Morez is out there with that cute little baby face, but I like him! I think he's going to be good.

Mavs screwed themselves over with those wins at the end of the season handing that pick to Memphis. I kinda think the Mavs may have picked Wilson over Boozer if they had that pick based on the profile they like, but despite Wilson's athletic advantages, I think Boozer's basketball IQ might be generational. His ability to read the game and constantly make the right decisions at his age is incredibly rare and would have probably been a better fit for us next to Coop. Having him as the offensive decision making hub next to Coop for the next 15 years would have been amazing, like a mini Jokic but oh well.

I kinda have a feeling theres some window shopping elements happening, and may continue to happen until the TDL. Think the Mavs will be active. Certain guys may get more minutes than you'd ideally want, in order to give them opportunity to elevate their trade value a bit. Think PJ, Christie and Gaff could be the main ones. So we may see some of the younger guys not getting as many minutes as we want until the TDL.

Overall much better than expected. Just looking at the youngsters. I am starting to talk myself into Risacher as a legit disruptive wing defender. I really like what Sasser is doing in his minutes. De Larrea showing that the hype wasn't just about him playing against g-league level competition in summer league and preseason. Not sure if Clayton is all that talented but just like BWill last season he offers a skillset that the Mavs desperately need. Can get to the rim. Creates drive and kick offense.
Morez with his worst game so far but it's a learning experience. The top of the key stuff with multiple cutting options and hand offs requires a level of chemistry that cannot really exist this early in the season so the turnover aren't just on Morez but it felt like things moved a little bit too fast for him.
Christie still hasn't found his shooting rhythm. For a player that doesn't provide all that much besides 3-point volume that could quickly result in reduced minutes.
