And I agree with you. That's why I'm hoping for ORL to buyout OPJ so we can get him on the cheap.
In the tiny chance that OPJ got bought out, signing him to a rest-of-season deal wouldn't create any usable Bird right advantages for re-signing him in the summer.
But ORL has those Bird advantages right now. You would think they might want to re-sign him, or at least get some value in a sign-and-trade via those Bird rights. So why would they buy him out?
I see some people saying this, and I just don't get it.
