An interesting discussion, but it seems to be lost in an endless circle. I am one of those who can never kneel when the National Anthem is played. I simply can't. To me it is a symbol of what the country "should" be. This country is what gives each of us the freedom to do and say (for the most part) what we want to. I guess we can use the "hokey" old term "liberty". As far as kneeling goes...I certainly can and will kneel at any appropriate time and place (to me) for racial equality...and/or equality of almost any kind.
I am also one of those who believes Mark Cuban did this to avoid future problems associated with kneeling during the Anthem. It seems that Cuban and Silver are going to go head to head on this.
