I thought he was going to get paid all along, too. At the time, I was so grim about the Mavs' situation that I might've been happy with this deal (or at least a 3-year version). Since then, they have pushed my ass squarely into the 'believer' camp, and I'm so, so happy this contract isn't coming here!
