My guess would be that they were considering the trade down plan a lot folks suggested getting Morez at 12 but realized he would be gone by then. Maybe it was that they were hoping one of the 1-8 guys fell to them, but the only guy that seems like he had much chance was Flemings, and I would be surprised if he was their primary target.
