I don't agree. If he doesn't work out here where we are desperate for this type of player, why would anyone want that long term contract? We're having trouble trading PJ Washington, who everyone kinda agrees is a good player.
Signing Mathurin to a 3-4yr deal at $20 million AAV is nothing like the other "swings" the Mavs have taken. That is a commitment.
