I know very few are aligned with this thinking and it sometimes makes me unpopular, but I just have to add this final thought:

Cooper Flagg was a borderline all star scorer last year, as a rookie, from 17 ft in. HE is Paschal Siakim, and potentially a much better version of that kind of offensive player. If he adds a certainly level of proficiency scoring off of screens at the top, GREAT! But he's ready RIGHT NOW to be dominant...from 17 feet in.

I feel like it's so obvious what kind of player the Mavs should put him with, and what their goal should be in support of Flagg. Give him cleaner paint!

"Cleaner" paint is a possibility, but you could argue that the ship has sailed on that approach given the drafting of Rez.

BTW, I don't think that, because I believe that the FO and May see Rez as capable of developing 3p shooting and creational skills to an extent that would surprise most folks.
