Yeah, but people are talking about just buying him out. This makes no sense. If you can get assets for his expiring contract AND the young guns can bring what he does or more, then fine. BUT, the Mavs spacing was horrid last year, the Mavs did not use him to his strengths and with a higher paced, better spaced floor, the dude could still offer all-star stats.
I just think people become a little obsessed with myopic things and don't see the larger possibilities. We have NO IDEA how different the offense will be coached this year.
