Just in case you needed a refresher… here’s a recap of how the Dallas Mavericks’ offseason has gone as of July, 4 2026.

Only one player has gone out in trade (AJ).  So far, four FA’s have not been picked up…Bagley, Middleton, Powell and BWill. Only Bagley has signed elsewhere.  So, if you assume the five most likely NBA players on the list (two picks, the two NBA players who came by trade and Tarik), they are essentially replacing AJ and four free agents.  Everyone else is still here.

It is hard to argue that the new five are less talented than the outgoing five.

Tarik vs Middleton (OK. This one is arguable in the here and now)
