Trade & Free Agency 2026/2027

I don't disagree with any of the above - I get all that.

THE TEAM IS GOING TO BE BAD, EVEN WITH KYRIE.

Once you wrap your head around that, how much does that good stuff he brings to the table really matter?

Disagree. The team might be bad, but it might actually be good.

If Kyrie comes back at 90% of what he was (which I fully expect him to do) and Lively comes back at 90% of what he was (which I expect him to do), and we add a couple of more free agents or players via trade which we very likely might, we have some DECENT talent on the roster!

You have NO IDEA what kind of a coach May will be. Maybe he struggles and maybe he has these guys humming in ways that will make your head spin.

One thing about the NBA today, there are no dynasties. Teams can make it to the finals out of nowhere.

Flagg just had arguably the most impressive rookie season in HISTORY. If he makes a jump year 2, he's an all-star and 2nd/3rd team ALL-NBA.

I am not going to sit here and say the Mavs will suck just because I'm afraid that if I look on the upside I will suffer the pain of disappointment.

I expect this team to play hard, compete hard, and be well coached. In today's NBA, that can get you a deep playoff run.

For those small people who only care about style over substance, then whatever. Go watch another sport.
