Jason Kidd OUT! Who will be the Mavs' next HC?

I think he is a GREAT coach.   The more I think about it though, I don't think the fit is right now.   Hurley has a ton of power at UCONN.  He is pretty much their coach and GM.    I am not sure how he handles with more powerful people above him.   Second, I think the Mavs are looking 5 years out.  They want to pick a coach who will grow with the team and when they are good again that coach has gone thru the ups and downs with the team now.    I am not sure you can do that with Hurley.

With that being said, I think it would be an awesome hire.  I am just expecting someone more low profile.

My opinion is that his frenetic, emotional style would quickly wear on professionals.  

Reminds me a bit of the rah-rah college football coach who tries to move to the NFL, and his schtick gets old after a couple of years.

It's a long season.
