I mean you wouldn’t do that trade now anyways, but could have a conditional agreement to move fast on draft night if the chips align in a certain way for both teams, right?
If we were to have a tier of players we like the same and are sure that one of them is available at 12 and if we are also sure a player we like much more than this tier won’t drop to 9 (or see live that it won’t happen after the first few draft picks), then this trade makes a lot of sense.
It would be the typical trade-back pattern happening a lot of times in every NFL draft and you have to trust your draft board and act according to it. I wouldn’t have done that before, knowing that Presti would always win - now with Ujiri and Smith I‘m optimistic it could be a win-win because of very different needs of both teams.
