I wouldn't do the trade either, but if you're trading Kyrie, you're not going to be good next season. Getting 2 FRP's and expiring contracts before he's stepped back on the court, one of them your own FRP next year (when you'll be bad again), isn't "nothing".

It's not nothing, but as much as I like this draft a very late first is not crazy value, next years draft is not supposed to be good, and I am not excited about another season where we are debating about tanking.
