On the contrary, I think he´d stay a larger minority owner, maybe 35/65, and makes sure he gets control over basketball operations in writting this time.

Though I do agree with the overall logic.
Gambling declined. Expansion team in their hometown. Not hiring GM and cleaning the cap. The last two can easily interpreted as franchise selling moves rather than what we wanted to believe.
That would also explain the weird Tyus Jones trade. Cuban is back in charge and has already activated retirement home mode.
