Kuminga plays the same position as the Hawks young all star. Is there enough minutes for him? Also, how does this impact the minutes for Rishacher? I guess it probably has little downside trading for Kuminga but is sort of an odd fit. A lot of 2-4 on that team now.
What is the reason for GS to do this? Does it help them at all moving forward. They get off Hield? Is it just to end the Kuminga circus? KP could help if healthy, but what is exactly is help for a team who is probably a play in team?
I think you have to view that Atlanta can play any two of Johnson, Risacher and Kuminga at all times to make this worthwhile. Hield's contract seems like a steep price to pay for a test-drive/expire shot at Kuminga. They already had an expiring in KP. Kennard expiring fixes some of their excess though there really isn't a need for both Kispert and Hield.
