A couple years ago when we acquired PJ Washington and Gafford, I really liked the idea of using 1st rd picks to make several small moves to round out the roster, instead of waiting for a big swing.  Luka and that team was ready to compete.

I think right now we need to be hoarding our assets in case the opportunity arises to take a big swing.  My priority is to find a long term running mate for Cooper Flagg.  I'm not trading 1sts for role players like Ryan Rollins.    If we win the lottery again, then we can start dumping assets on complementary pieces.

It's a Laker's first round pick. What's that pick going to look like with Doncic there?

Rollins is playing starter minutes now (31 mpg), shooting 39.8% from the three-pt line, 5.4 assists pg, and is dropping 16 PPG. Plus he's young (23) but with a few years of NBA experience. 

You're probably not getting that guy with the Lakers pick.
